Dr. Stela Dimitrova is a Researcher at the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Plovdiv. She graduated with a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of Plovdiv "Paisiy Hilendarski". She majored in Theoretical Foundations of Medicinal Chemistry. She completed her Ph.D. studies on the topic "Identification and Antioxidant Activity of Isoprenoids from Biomass of Psychrophilic Yeasts". She is a co-author of textbooks for medical, dentistry students, and applicant students, and serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals. She currently serves as the Head of the Department of Bioorganic Chemistry. Her research interests include substances of natural origin, methods for their isolation and analysis, biotechnological methods for production, studies of their activity, and their application as food additives.
