Dr. Vyacheslav Ogay is a Head of the Stem Cell Laboratory at the National Center for Biotechnology, Kazakhstan. He received his Ph.D. degree in Biological Science at the Institute of Cell Biophysics of Russian Academy of Sciences in 2003. From 2004 to 2009 he has been a postdoctoral research fellow and then a senior researcher at Seoul National University. He has published 8 domestic and international patents and than 40 publications in peer-reviewed journals including Cell Transplantation, Stem Cells International, Inflammation Research and Connective Tissue Research. His main research interest is focused on strategies to improve the immunosuppressive and regenerative properties of mesenchymal stem cells, stem cell-based therapy for atherosclerosis, ischemic stroke, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, an injectable drug delivery systems for bone and cartilage regeneration.
