Dong Hyun Cha is a Professor of Medicine at CHA Univeristy in Pochun, Republic of Korea, and the CEO of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, CHA Gangnam Medical Center, Seoul, Republic of Korea. He received his medical degree from Yonsei University College of Medicine in 1991. He completed an internship, residency, and fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Severance hospital. He also completed his M.S. at Kyung Hee University College of Medicine in 1999 and obtained his Ph.D. from Yonsei University College of Medicine in 2003. Dr. Cha also completed additional research fellowship training in the Division of Genetics Dept. of OB&GYN, Pediatrics, New England Medical Center of Tufts University. He is specialized in prenatal genetics and currently serves as the Research Affairs Director of the Korean Society of Medical Genetics and Genomics. His research interests include (but are not limited to) prenatal diagnosis, noninvasive prenatal testing, and trophoblast retrieval from the cervix.
