Lourdes Soriano’s academic training has been carried out in chemistry at Universitat Jaume I (Castellò, Spain) since 2001. She obtained a doctorate degree in 2008 from Universitat Politècnica de València (València, Spain). She has worked as research personnel with research projects at Instituto de Ciencia y Tecnología del Hormigón (ICITECH) and as an associate professor at Universitat Politècnica de València. She currently works as a Full Professor in the area of construction materials. Her main areas of research are the use of supplementary cementitious materials in Portland cement matrices as well as the use of residual materials for the preparation of alkali-activated matrices.
