Dr. Wuttipong Mahakham is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, Thailand. He received his Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from The University of Auckland, New Zealand, as a doctoral scholar focusing on nanomaterial–plant interactions. His research interests and areas of expertise encompass green nanobiotechnology, molecular biology, and phycology. He gained advanced training in systematics, phylogenetics, and the molecular evolution of freshwater volvocine green algae through a four-year international co-research program (2017–2021) with a professor at the University of Tokyo under a formal institutional MOU. He also maintains active research collaborations in applied microbiology and biophysics with colleagues at the University of Tsukuba, Japan.
