Biography

Dr. Aziza Mohamed-Brahmi, Assistant Professor at ESAK, specializes in livestock systems. After a PhD on dairy sheep farming in Tunisia (2003-2008) and experiences at APIA, INAT, and LRAA, she joined ESAK in 2009, teaching Livestock Systems, Rabbit Breeding, and Dairy Production. As a member of the ESAK research laboratory Support for the Sustainability of Production Systems in northwest Tunisia, she focuses on the resilience of ruminant production systems to climate change and value chain analysis. She has supervised numerous master's and PhD theses in Tunisia and the Middle East. She has participated in several research projects, including BOVISOL (ARIMNET-2, 2018-2021), a Tunisia–Algeria–Greece consortium on local cattle breed valorization and dairy quality, and PRIMA-ADAPT-HERD (2019-2024), a France–Spain–Tunisia–Egypt project on herd resilience. Currently, she contributes to a project on agro-ecological value chains for climate resilience (2023–2025). Her research integrates agro-ecology and AI to enhance sustainable livestock production and support agro-ecological transitions using data acquisition at different levels: farm, support services, territory, and value chain.
