Luísa Cruz-Lopes is a Coordinator Professor of the Superior School of Technology and Management of Viseu belonging to the Polytechnic Institute of Viseu. She is a researcher at the Centre for Studies of Natural Resources, Environment and Society. She graduated with a Degree in Chemical Engineering in 1989 from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, University of Coimbra. She completed her MS studies in Materials Engineering in 1995 at Aveiro University and her Ph.D. studies in Science and Materials Engineering at Aveiro University in the field of new materials in 2002. Her research topics mainly include wood, chemical composition mechanical properties, and lignocellulosic materials.
