Anthony W. Olson, PhD, PharmD, is a Research Scientist at the Essentia Institute of Rural Health in Duluth, Minnesota. He received a BA from St. Olaf College and the degrees of PharmD and PhD from the University of Minnesota – College of Pharmacy in 2015 and 2020, respectively. Dr. Olson specializes in translational research involving community-integrated, person-centered interventions that improve the care experience and clinical outcomes, especially among persons and communities in underserved rural areas. He has practiced pharmacy in the outpatient community setting since 2015 and has served as an Officer and Executive Committee member for both the Minnesota Pharmacists Association (MPhA) and the American Pharmacists Association - Academy of Pharmaceutical Research & Science. In 2019, he was named MPhA’s Distinguished Young Pharmacist, and he presently serves on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of the American Pharmacists Association.
