Suizi Jia is an Associate Professor at China University of Geosciences. She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Structural Engineering, followed by a Doctoral degree in Geotechnical and Seismic Engineering. She has long been engaged in research on seismic hazard assessment, dynamic response analysis of infrastructure, and characteristics of pulse-like ground motions. She has participated in several National Natural Science Foundation projects concerning near-fault seismic effects, is an active member of the Chinese Society for Geotechnical Engineering, and has published a series of academic papers on the quantification of structural damage under extreme seismic excitations.
