Dr. Feng Qiu is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Jilin University. He received his Ph.D. from Jilin University in 2009. He was a visiting scholar at the School of Engineering and Computing at the University of Auckland. He is engaged in fundamental theoretical research on combustion synthesis, alloy design, solid phase transformation, solidification microstructure and control of multicomponent alloys and composites, and strength and toughness. As the person in charge, he presided over a National Nature Foundation Youth Fund, a national major basic research special, 973 subprojects, a doctoral program fund of the Ministry of Education, a Jilin Province Nature Fund, a Jilin Province Science and Technology Development Plan project, the Jilin Province Education Department’s "13th Five-Year" science and technology research project, and the FAW Casting Company’s horizontal project, and Jilin University’s excellent young teacher training program.
