Mauro Giudici earned, from Università degli Studi di Milano (Italy), a Laurea in Physics (1987). He is now a Professor at the Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra "A. Desio", at the same University. His work in mathematical modelling, inverse problems, groundwater hydrology, geophysical exploration, and atmospheric physics has resulted in about 100 indexed publications and many presentations at international conferences, where he sometimes served as the organiser of sessions or chairperson. His teaching activity is very relevant as he is responsible for course units and advisor of more than 100 students at different levels (BS, MS, and PhD). He is a member of several scientific associations (EGU, EAGE, AGU, IAMG, IAHS, IAH, IPIA, AISAM, SII-IHS, and ISA). He is an editor of Hydrology and Earth System Sciences (awarded as outstanding editor in 2015) and served as a reviewer for hundreds of papers submitted to the most important journals of hydrology and geophysics. He serves as an evaluator for several national and international funding agencies and institutions.
