Halim Latiff is currently leading the Centre for Subsurface Imaging (CSI), an oil and gas industry-oriented research center at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He obtained his Master of Engineering, Master of Science, and Doctorate from Imperial College London, UTP, and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), respectively, with special interest in subsurface imaging via seismic technology and deep-earth seismology. His main area of expertise is seismic processing and imaging, both for active and passive seismic detection, including fiber optic technology. With over 15 years as an industry practitioner with CGC and as a researcher and academician with UTP, Halim is on a mission to spread knowledge in geosciences and nurture more earth scientists for a sustainable and better future.
