The top and bottom seesaw model, which extends the top seesaw in order to accommodate a 125 GeV Higgs boson, predicts vector-like top/bottom partners and these partners can be bounded to form several neutral and charged singlet composite scalars by some new strong dynamics. In this letter, we use such a singlet scalar to interpret the 750 GeV diphoton resonance. This singlet scalar is dominantly produced through the gluon fusion process induced by the partners and its diphoton decay is induced by both the partners and the charged singlet scalars. We show that this scenario can readily account for the observed 750 GeV diphoton signal under the current LHC constraints. Further, this scenario predicts some other phenomenology, such as a strong correlation between the decays to γγ, Zγ and ZZ, a three-photon signal from the associate production of a singlet scalar and a photon, as well as some signals from the partner cascade decays. These signals may jointly allow for a test of this framework in future 100 TeV hadron collider and ILC experiments.
Because both W-mass and muon can be affected by mass splittings among extra Higgs bosons in a two-Higgs-doublet model, we take a model with μ-τ lepton flavor violation interactions to examine the two anomalies reported by CDF II and FNAL. We obtain the following observations: (i) Combined with theoretical constraints, the CDF W-mass measurement disfavors H or A degenerating in mass with but allows H and A to degenerate. The mass splitting between and must be larger than 10 GeV. and are favored to be smaller than 650 GeV for GeV and allowed to have larger values with increasing . (ii) After imposing other relevant experimental constraints, there are parameter spaces that simultaneously satisfy (at the level) the CDF W-mass, FNAL muon , and data on lepton universality in τ decays; however, the mass splittings among extra Higgs bosons are strictly constrained.

Since wave fluctuates continuously, the forecast of the wave energy is very important for the operation of power systems integrated with large-scale wave energy generation. A combined model of day-ahead wave energy forecast based on improved grey BP neural network (BPNN) and modified ensemble empirical mode decomposition (MEEMD) -autoregressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the wave is decomposed into wind waves and swells by wave theories. Secondly, the correlation between wind wave and wind speed is analyzed with improved grey BPNN, and the average height of wind waves can be forecasted based on the historical wind speed data. Thirdly, the MEEMD-ARIMA model is utilized to forecast the average wave height of swells. Thus, combining the wind wave and the swell, the average wave height of the integrated wave can be obtained. Finally, a conversion model from wave elements to wave energy for Archimedes wave swing (AWS) is introduced. A case study using the measured wind and wave data from a real ocean is illustrated, and the effectiveness of the proposed wave energy forecast model is validated.

Modular flavor symmetry can be used to explain the quark and lepton flavor structures. The SUSY partners of quarks and leptons, which share the same superpotential with the quarks and leptons, will also be constrained by the modular flavor structure and show a different flavor(mixing) pattern at the GUT scale. So, in realistic modular flavor models with SUSY completion, constraints from the collider and DM constraints can also be used to constrain the possible values of the modulus parameter. In the first part of this work, we discuss the possibility that theS3modular symmetry can be preserved by the fixed points ofT2/ZNorbifold, especially fromT2/Z2. To illustrate the additional constraints from collider etc on modular flavor symmetry models, we take the simplest UV SUSY-completionS3modular invariance SU(5) GUT model as an example with generalized gravity mediation SUSY breaking mechanism. We find that such constraints can indeed be useful to rule out a large portion of the modulus parameters. Our numerical results show that the UV-completed model can account for both the SM (plus neutrino) flavor structure and the collider, DM constraints. Such discussions can also be applied straightforwardly to other modular flavor symmetry models, such asA4orS4models.

Using a simplified framework, we attempt to explain the recent DAMPE cosmic e+ + e− flux excess by leptophilic Dirac fermion dark matter (LDM). The scalar (Φ0) and vector (Φ1) mediator fields connecting LDM and Standard Model particles are discussed. We find that the couplings P ⊗ S, P ⊗ P , V ⊗ A and V ⊗ V can produce the right bump in e+ + e− flux for a DM mass around 1.5 TeV with a natural thermal annihilation cross-section < σv >∼ 3×10−26cm3/s today. Among them, V ⊗V coupling is tightly constrained by PandaX-II data (although LDM-nucleus scattering appears at one-loop level) and the surviving samples appear in the resonant region, \( {m_{\varPhi}}_{{}_1}\simeq 2{m}_{\chi } \). We also study the related collider signatures, such as dilepton production pp → Φ1 → ℓ+ℓ−, and muon g − 2 anomaly. Finally, we present a possible U(1)X realization for such leptophilic dark matter.
