Fang Zhu is an Associate Professor of Entomology at Penn State University, University Park, PA, USA. She received her B.S. from Shandong Agricultural University in 1999, M.S. from China Agricultural University in 2002, and Ph.D. from Auburn University in 2007. Her research interests include xenobiotic adaptation, insect toxicogenomics, neurotoxicology, molecular biophysics, and enzyme chemistry. The primary emphasis of her research is understanding the mechanisms and evolution of insect adaptation to chemical stresses in their environment. She has developed innovative research systems to address the genetic basis for insecticide resistance using molecular biology, functional genomics, and structural biology. Since 2022, she has been named the top 2% of scientists in her field globally by Stanford University and Elsevier.
