Chuan Hu earned his Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from McMaster University, Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in 2017. He is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Alaska Fairbanks, Fairbanks, Alaska, 99775, USA. His research interests include decision making, path planning, motion control and estimation for autonomous vehicles, vehicle system dynamics and control, human–vehicle interaction, trust dynamics, and robust and adaptive control. He has been a Guest Editor of Advances in Mechanical Engineering and IET Intelligent Transport Systems.
