Information

I’m a molecular ecologist interested in insect-microorganisms and plant-microorganism interaction. I received both my B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Agricultural Sciences studying at University of Reggio Calabria (Italy), and a Ph.D. in Agriculture, Forestry and Environmental Sciences from University of Palermo (Italy). In 2017 I joined the IFM-Biology Department at Linköping University (Sweden) as Postdoctoral Fellow to work on insect transcriptomics. Currently I'm Postdoctoral Researcher the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State University, working on the molecular mechanisms behind plant-microorganisms interactions and their effects on surrounding biological communities. I’m also collaborating on projects dealing with the role of microbial symbionts in biological invasions, and on the insect-microorganisms relationship in polyphagous species.
