Biography

My research career has been focused in understanding the genetic regulatory mechanisms underlying the different processes that lead to a disease manifestation in humans. I moved to London to develop my own research at Imperial College. I was aimed to explore the role of non-coding RNAs on the tumorigenesis and metastatic processes in pancreatic cancer. During this period, I supervised different projects focused on early detection of bilio-pancreatic cancers by means of miRNAs in bile fluids and exosomes involvement in its dissemination, and search circulating biomarkers related with inflammation that could predict the evolution of the liver regenerative process after metastasis resection in patients.
