Dr. Rita Negrão is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto. She completed her Ph.D. in Metabolism, Clinic, and Experimentation at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto in 2012, and earned a degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Porto in 1994. She is currently a member of the Ethics Committees of both the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences. Her teaching areas include biochemistry, metabolism, and nutrition, while her research interests focus on metabolism, nutrition, polyphenols, obesity, diabetes, and non-nutrient modulators of metabolism.
