Topological indices are molecular descriptors used in QSPR modelling to predict the physicochemical properties of molecules. Topological indices are used in numerous applications in drug design. In this work, we compute the neighbourhood degree-based topological indices of 15 antituberculosis drugs, we studied the QSPR analysis of these drugs using support vector regression. The efficiency of support vector regression is determined by comparing it with the classical linear regression. Our QSPR model further shows the superiority of the SVR model as a better predictive model in QSPR analysis of the physical properties of antituberculosis drugs. The findings in this study are a further contribution to the field of chemical graph theory and drug design, providing a deeper understanding of neighbourhood degree-based topological indices and their predictive capabilities in QSPR model.
In this paper, we introduce and study the class of demimetric mappings in CAT(0) spaces. We then propose a modified proximal point algorithm for approximating a common solution of a finite family of minimization problems and fixed point problems in CAT(0) spaces. Furthermore,we establish strong convergence of the proposed algorithm to a common solution of a finite family of minimization problems and fixed point problems for a finite family of demimetric mappings in complete CAT(0) spaces. A numerical example which illustrates the applicability of our proposed algorithm is also given. Our results improve and extend some recent results in the literature.
Adaptive Neuro-fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) remains one of the promising AI techniques to handle data over-fitting and as well, improves generalization. Presently, many ANFIS optimization techniques have been synergized and found effective at some points through trial and error procedures. In this work, we tune ANFIS using Grid partition algorithm to handle unseen data effectively with fast convergence. This model is initialized using a careful selection of effective parameters that discriminate climate conditions; minimum temperature, maximum temperature, average temperature, wind speed and relative humidity. These parameters are used as inputs for ANFIS, whereas confirmed cases of COVID-19 is chosen as dependent values for two consecutive months and first ten days of December for new COVID-19 confirmed cases according to the Department of disease control (DDC) Thailand. The proposed ANFIS model provides outstanding achievement to predict confirmed cases of COVID-19 with R 2 of 0.99. Furthermore, data set trend analysis is done to compare fluctuations of daily climatic parameters, to satisfy our proposition, and illustrates the serious effect of these parameters on COVID-19 epidemic virus spread.
In this paper, we use the ensemble machine learning technique to evaluate the strength of three supervised machine learning algorithms, namely, the random forest regression (RFR), support vector regression (SVR) and the gradient boosting regression (GBR) in the prediction of physical properties of mental disorder drugs with small dataset. The model was implemented on a dataset of neighborhood degree-based topological indices which served as predictor variables and physical properties of the drugs which served as target variables. To compute the neighborhood degree-based indices, we employed an algorithm that utilizes the canonical SmilES notations of the drugs. The ensemble method identifies the neighborhood third Zagreb index (NM3(G)) as an efficient predictor of boiling point, flash point and enthalpy of vaporization. The neighborhood Randic index (NR(G)) provides better prediction for molar refractivity, molar volume and polarizability. In the same vein, the neighborhood sum connectivity index (NSC(G)) is an efficient predictor of surface tension while the neighborhood reciprocal Randic index (NRR(G)) is most effective in the prediction of polar surface area. Furthermore, the comparison of the average performance between the ensemble method and the base models (RFR, SVR, GBR) over the neighborhood topological indices shows efficient performance of the individual models across multiple physical properties of mental disorder drugs, when using the neighborhood topological indices as the predictor or input feature. Overall, this research highlights the combination of three supervised machine learning models in an ensemble environment to mitigating the challenges associated with small datasets when applying machine learning models in QSPR analysis.
In this article, we introduce the neighborhood versions of two classical topological indices, namely neighborhood geometric–arithmetic and neighborhood atom bond connectivity indices. We study the graph-theoretic properties of these new topological indices for some known graphs, e.g., complete graph , regular graph , cycle graph , star graph , pendant graph, and irregular graph and further establish their respective bounds. We note that the neighbourhood geometric–arithmetic index of , , , and is equal to the number of edges. The neighborhood atom bond connectivity index of an arbitrary simple graph is strictly less than the number of edges. Our results contribute to the literature in this direction.
