Eduardo Ortiz Hernández is a civil engineer. He holds a Master degree in construction of road works, and is a Ph.D. student in terrain engineering at the University of Alicante, Spain, specializing in laboratory consulting for soil mechanics, pavement, concrete and asphalt. He is a professor at the Faculty of Physical and Chemical Mathematical Sciences of the Technical University of Manabí, Ecuador, teaching Soil Mechanics 1 and 2, Geotechnics, Road Works and Pavements. He is a member of the research group concerning new materials and construction technology of the research project River sand sources of the Province of Manabí to be used in concrete in the construction of civil works.
