Professor of Animal Welfare and Farming at the University of Zaragoza. I am a veterinarian who graduated from the Autonomous University of Tlaxcala (México) in 2002 and received an MSc degree in Applied Ethology and Animal Welfare at the National Autonomous University of México, as well as a Ph.D. degree in Animal Science from the University of Zaragoza, Spain, in 2009. My research interests are based in animal behavior, cognition and welfare, particularly as they apply to transport and pre-slaughter operations.
