José Antonio Vázquez López graduated with a Bachelor´s in Engineering and Master´s degree from Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya, Celaya, Guanajuato, México, in 1998 and 2001. He obtained his PhD in posgrado interinstitucional en Ciencia y Tecnología (PICyT) from CIATEC, León, Guanajuato, México, in 2009. His main research interest is in industrial engineering and statistics, where he has served as an industrial consultant for several companies. His research interests are design and improvement of processes and products and advanced process control, pattern recognition using networks and design of experiments. He is currently a Full Professor in the Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya.
