Dr. Abhilash serves as Principal Scientist at the Secondaries and Resource Recycling Group; Metal Extraction and Recycling Division, CSIR-NML, Jamshedpur. He has published 90 papers in SCI Journals and Nat./Int. Conference Proceedings, and has 5 granted and 13 filed patents to his credit in the last 15 years of service. He has edited 7 books published by Allied Publishers, India; LAP, GmBH; and CRC Press, US; and contributed 12 chapters in books by national and international publishers. Dr. Abhilash is engaged in the areas of hydrometallurgy-bioleaching of low-grade ores, concentrates, tailings, and waste management (industrial wastes, metal scraps, effluents, WEEE recycling, etc.) for extraction of base, precious and critical elements. He has been working towards the development of sustainable technologies for critical metal extraction from primary and secondary resources.
