Fortunato Cirlincione is a researcher at the Department of Soil, Plants and Food Science (Di.S.S.P.A.), University of Bari Aldo Moro, Italy. Between 2018 and 2023, he worked on Applied Botany and Food Microbiology at the Department of Agricultural, Food and Forest Sciences (SAAF) of the University of Palermo, Italy. He completed his Ph.D. in Biodiversity in Agriculture and Forestry at the University of Palermo (Italy) in 2023. His research interests are edible mushrooms, medicinal mushrooms, bioactive compounds, beta-glucans, functional foods, applied mycology, and environmental and applied botany.
