Dr Athanasios Zachariou is an Assistant Professor of Urology-Andrology at the School of Medicine, University of Ioannina. He graduated with honours from the medical school of the Aristotele University of Thessaloniki. He holds a Master’s degree in “Management of Health Units” (Open University of Cyprus, 2014) and a PhD degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (2004). He has been a Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) since 1998. He is a Board Member of the EAU Section of Andrological Urology (ESAU), and an associate member of the European Section of Office and Outpatient Urology (ESAU) of the EAU. He has been working in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Center “Kentavros” since 2004, supervising the Department of Andrology—Infertility and Couple Sexual Function. He has more than 100 published PUBMED papers. He is the president of the Coordinating Committee at the Department of Andrology and Infertility of the Hellenic Urological Association. His research and clinical activity focus on female and couple sexual function, the pathophysiology of the lower urinary tract system, male infertility, and erectile dysfunction.
