Una-Jovana Vujačić, PhD, is a Senior Research Associate at the Institute for Medical Research, with expertise in Biochemical Engineering and Biotechnology. Her research interests encompass the optimization and chemical characterization of plant extracts, oxidative stress and antioxidant signalling, and the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular and renal diseases. She has extensive experience in preclinical in vivo research, including experimental models of hypertension, acute kidney injury, and chronic kidney disease. Her work integrates biochemical engineering approaches with biomedical research, with a focus on elucidating disease mechanisms and exploring the therapeutic potential of bioactive compounds.
