Dario Finazzi earned his MD and specialty school degree in Clinical Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Brescia, Italy. He worked as a visiting fellow at the CBMB, NIH, Bethesda, form 1992 until 1995 and became an assistant professor at the University of Brescia in 1996. Since 2015, he has been an associate professor in Molecular Biology. He has been working as a physician at Spedali Civili Hospital in Brescia since 1996. His main research interest is the study of iron metabolism and, particularly, the role of the metal in neurodegenerative disorders.
