Dr. Yujun Zhao currently works as a Researcher and Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University. He obtained a bachelor's degree in industrial catalysis from the Dalian University of Technology in 1998 and a Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, CAS in 2008. He conducted his Post Doc at the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University from 2008 to 2010. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He has been engaged in research in the field of green chemistry and energy chemical catalysis for many years. He has achieved a series of important theoretical and applied results in the surface and interface regulation of heterogeneous solid catalysts; catalytic reaction mechanisms; structure–activity relationships; and synergistic mechanisms, catalyst design, and engineering scale-ups. His research directions are basics and applications of heterogeneous catalytic hydrogenation, efficient utilization of synthesis gas, biomass conversion, degradable plastics, and green processing of fine chemicals.
