WALEED ABDULLAH AL SHEHRI is an Associate Professor in the College of Engineering and Computing at Umm Al-Qura University in Al-Lith, Saudi Arabia. He received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2005, and his M.Sc. degree in Information Technology from Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia in 2011. Waleed obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Science from King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2019. Dr. Waleed also has over 15 years of working experience in the Department of IT in the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) before becoming an academic. His current research interests are in Big Data, AI, Parallel Computing, and Software Engineering.
