I graduated from the Faculty of Technology at The University of Tokyo (B.Eng.) in 1989 and obtained my M.Med degree from Osaka University in 1991 and a Ph.D. degree from Niigata University in 1995. I have approximately 300 publications on these topics in prominent scientific journals. I have been a Fellow of the International College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CINP) since 2010 and am currently serving as CINP President (2024-2026). I served as President of the Japanese Society of Neuropsychopharmacology (2016-2018) and President of the Asian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (2019-2020).
