Predrag Brkic obtained his M.D., MSc., and PhD from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade, Serbia. Also, he obtained his Specialist degree in Sport Medicine and Sub-specialist degree in Baromedicine at the Postgraduate Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. He currently holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Medical Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. He founded the Postgraduate Department of Baromedicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Belgrade. His research focus is in the field of experimental hyperbaric medicine aimed at the implementation of hyperbaric oxygen in clinical treatment strategies that are intended to improve the rehabilitation following inflammatory processes and traumatic and ischemia–reperfusion injuries. As a member of domestic and international professional organizations, he regularly participates in and contributes to the organization of domestic and international scientific conferences.
