Background: Artificial intelligence (AI) tools such as ChatGPT are increasingly being integrated into health professions education, but evidence regarding their application in physiotherapy remains limited. This study aims to investigate the impact of AI-assisted problem-based learning (AI-PBL) on theoretical knowledge, clinical competence, AI self-efficacy, internet addiction, and reading motivation compared with traditional PBL. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted with undergraduate physiotherapy students assigned to AI-PBL or PBL groups. Participants completed assessments before, immediately after, and two weeks after the group intervention. Outcome measures included a theoretical knowledge test, the Mini Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX), the AI Self-Efficacy Scale (AI-SES), the Internet Addiction Test (IAT), and the Adult Reading Motivation Scale (ARMS). Results: Forty students were randomized equally into two groups: AI-PBL (n = 20) and traditional PBL (n = 20). Both groups showed significant improvements in knowledge and reading motivation. The AI-PBL group showed significantly greater improvement in knowledge retention at 2 weeks (Cohen’s d = 3.14) and greater gains in AI self-efficacy. Although Mini-CEX scores were higher in the AI-PBL group, the differences between groups were not statistically significant. No significant increase in internet addiction was observed in the AI-PBL group. Conclusion: These findings emphasize that supervised, structured use of generative AI in education can enhance sustained learning and digital self-efficacy without posing behavioral risks. The AI-PBL approach appears to foster active reflection, self-directed learning, and deeper academic engagement offering a promising direction for digital innovation in physiotherapy education. Future studies should explore long-term outcomes, track behavioral engagement, and further validate the benefits of AI-enhanced instructional strategies. Trial registration: Prior to the initiation of the study, the protocol was registered on https//www.clinicaltrials.gov/, and registration status was made publicly available (Identifier NCT07010991 Date 08.06.2025). Introduction: This study aimed to investigate the effects of yoga training applied with telerehabilitation on core stability, and strength, balance, flexibility, upper extremity stability, body awareness, and quality of life in tennis players aged 6–18 years. Methods: Forty tennis players were randomly divided into two groups to participate in this study. The control group (n = 20) continued tennis training and was informed about the importance of the core region. The yoga group (n = 20) received yoga training with telerehabilitation 2 days a week for 8 weeks. Athletes were evaluated with sport-specific core muscle strength and stability tests, the back scratch test, the sit and reach test, the flamingo balance test, the y-balance test (lower quarter), the upper extremity closed kinetic chain stability test, the SF-36, and body awareness questionnaires. Measurements have been done in the tennis club before and after the 8 weeks of training. Results: A significant increase was determined in core strength and stability, sit and reach, back scratch test, upper extremity stability, and body awareness questionnaire in the yoga group (p < 0.001). Flamingo and Y balance test results were significant (p < 0.002). Positive improvements were found in SF-36s energy-fatigue level, mental well-being, social function (p < 0.042), pain (p < 0.005), and general health (p < 0.001). A significant increase was observed in the core strength measurement mean score in the control group (p < 0.018). Sit and reach test, flamingo test, and body awareness questionnaire were found to be significant after the intervention (p < 0.001). Significant improvements were found in the pain (p < 0.042), and mental well-being (p < 0.001) sub-parameters of the SF-36. Conclusion: In the study, it was concluded that yoga training applied with telerehabilitation in tennis players aged 6–18 has a positive effect on core strength, and stabilization, physical fitness parameters, quality of life, and body awareness.

BACKGROUND: Changes in the sleep-wake cycle in shift workers can cause many health problems. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between daytime sleepiness and sleep quality on balance, physical activity level, fatigue and quality of life in shift and non-shift workers. METHOD: A total of 58 employees, 29 shifts and 29 non-shifts, were included in the study. Data were collected using the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, the Tandem Posture Test, the One-Foot Stand Test, the Ten-Step Tandem Walking Test, the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form, the Fatigue Severity Scale, and the Nottingham Health Profile. RESULTS: Individuals working in shifts had higher fatigue severity and daytime sleepiness levels (p < 0.05), while physical activity levels and sleep quality were lower than those working without shifts (p < 0.05). It was determined that as the daytime sleepiness of individuals working in shifts and non-shifts increased, their quality of life decreased (p < 0.05). CONCLUSION: According to the data obtained from the study, individuals working in shifts compared to individuals working without shifts experienced higher levels of daytime sleepiness and fatigue severity level while sleep quality and physical activity level were lower.
