Suat Moi Puah is an Associate Professor at the Department of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Malaya. She holds a BSc in Microbiology, an MMedSc in Medical Science, and a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the same university, completed in 2004, 2007, and 2014. She passionately explores the molecular makeup of bacterial virulence factors, focusing on biofilm-related genes through various techniques like reverse genetics, whole genome sequencing, and RNA sequencing. She is also a member of the Microbiology Society, the Malaysian Society for Microbiology, and the Malaysian Society of Infectious Diseases and Chemotherapy.
