Graduated in Nuclear Radiochemistry in 1993, he obtained the master's degree in Experimental Pharmacology in 1998 and the PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2003. He has been a full professor since 2013. He is a professor of Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics from 1997 to the present. He is coordinator, member of the academic committee and professor of the master's degree in Drug Research and Development of the CBQ. He is a professor of several master's and doctoral programs at the UCLV and other national and international universities. Tutor of more than 30 undergraduate, master's and doctoral theses with excellent results. Principal investigator of several international projects funded by AECID, the European Commission and several European universities and several national projects funded by the MES, the Agency of Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies and BioCubafarma. He has more than 80 publications in the web of science journals and more than 100 presentations in International Congresses. He is a reviewer for more than 20 scientific journals and a member of the editorial board of 5 of them.
