Teresa Paiva is a neurologist, neurophysiologist, and somnologist, who trained, practiced, and researched at Santa Maria Hospital and the Medical Faculty of Lisbon until retirement. She is currently stationed at the CENC (Sleep and Medicine Center), a private clinic in Lisbon. Her activities include research, clinical practice, training of professionals, master degree/postgraduate course in sleep science, and supervision of a large number of master (60) and PhD (11) theses, as well as important activities in raising awareness among the Portuguese population with conferences, interviews, media publications, and books for all ages.
