Dr. Bronislava Víchová earned her RNDr. degree (Doctor of Natural Sciences) from the Faculty of Science, University of P. J. Šafárik and PhD. degree (Doctor of Philosophy) from the Faculty of Natural Science, Comenius University. She is currently a senior researcher at the Department of Vector-Borne Diseases, Institute of Parasitology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAS) in Slovakia. Her research interests include molecular biology and ecology of ticks, molecular differential diagnostics of vector-borne pathogens of medical and veterinary importance, as well as tick-host-pathogen interactions. Additionally, she serves as a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Parasitology SAS (2013–present), and of the Revision Committee of the Slovak Society of Parasitology (2015–present).
