Dr. Ling-Jie Gao obtained his Ph. D on organic chemistry in 1998 at Zhengzhou University under supervison of Professor Tianzeng Zhao and Professor Guangdian Han. He spent 3 years(1999-2002) as postdoctoral fellow at laboratory of Prof. Pierre De Clercq, Gent University, Belgium. In 2002, he joined 4aza Bioscience nv for the the drug discovery and development and conrinue the reseach in same area in Elbion Bioscience nv(2006-2008). In 2008, he joined the group of Prof. Piet Herdewijn in Rega Institute for Medical Research, KU Leuven for the research in the field of small molecules to treat immune disorders. He published more than 50 scientific articles in the field of organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry in international academic journals and 20 international patent publications.
