Eva Maia is a Cybersecurity researcher at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. She holds a PhD in Computer Science from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. Her current research is related to the application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques in the Cybersecurity field. She is working on several European Projects where cyber and physical security solutions are being developed to be applied to different sectors, namely Health, Airports and Smart Factories. During her PhD, Eva also developed various works in automata theory and its application to security and complexity of the systems. She also has a straight relationship with industrial sector due to its background working in companies with security and artificial intelligence as core business.
