J.Y. Pastor's research focuses on the study of the mechanical behaviors of materials under extreme working conditions from a trifold perspective: (i) mechanical characterization, (ii) microstructural and fractographic characterization, and (iii) correlation between microstructure and properties. This research has two key aspects: basic research (40 R&D projects financed in public calls) and the application of engineering problems of materials and structures (39 R&D contracts with companies and administrations). The former research is accessible to the public through national and international publications, while the latter includes reports and research of a confidential nature.
