Dr. Rudolf Macek is a member of the Department of Economics and Economic Policy at the PRIGO University, Czech Republic. He graduated in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Ostrava, where he successfully completed his dissertation on the topic of Labor Taxation and its Impact on Economic Growth in 2016. During his doctoral studies, he was the chairman of the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University of Ostrava. He is currently employed as the director of PRIGO College, which is one of the largest and most successful colleges in the Czech Republic. In his research work, Dr. Macek focuses mainly on taxation, public finance, economic growth and the construction and application of the alternative indicator of the tax burden World Tax Index. He has published several articles that are indexed in the Web of Science or Scopus database. He led or actively participated in several successful scientific research projects.
