Dr. Emmanuel Stamatakis holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and a Masters in Production Management Systems (MBA). He works as Senior Researcher at the National Center for Scientific Research DEMOKRITOS (NCSRD) in the field of Hydrogen Technologies with an emphasis on Integrated Systems for Dual-Use Applications. He also acts as external research collaborator at the Institute of GeoEnergy of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas. He worked as a Researcher/Research Collaborator for various Research Centers in Greece and abroad for over 20 years in the fields of Petroleum Research, Renewable Energy, Hydrogen Technology and Environmental Protection. He has acted as a main liaison between the industry and the research community on various hydrogen energy and environmental issues during his career, having fulfilled a large number of industrial research programs through his active participation in all stages, from the preparation and submission of the proposal to the successful completion of the project, having delivered numerous industrial technical reports. He has significant experience in project management and project proposal preparation and evaluation. He teaches at the University of Western Macedonia in Policy, Markets and Legislation for Hydrogen Technologies and in Hydrogen Transportation.
