Gabriel Barreda, scientific director at Buscalud Biofarma, is an expert in clinical biochemistry, metabolism and health biomarkers, with over 15 years of experience as scientific director at Betternostic and IMG Pharma. In addition to his entrepreneurial experience as co-founder of two companies, he has an extensive research background, having participated in basic and applied research projects at national and international level, published papers, presented at conferences, obtained patents and registered a computer program. He has also supervised PhD and Master’s theses and contributed to the development of the Basque RIS3 Strategy for Personalized Health as a member of the working group on mental health. He currently leads the selection of biomarkers, quality protocols and interpretation criteria to ensure scientific excellence and the reliability of the products.
