Dr. Francisco Javier Santos-Arteaga is a Researcher at the Departamento de Economía Financiera y Actuarial y Estadística, Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. He holds a Ph.D. in Mathematical Economics from York University in Canada, where he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. Additionally, he holds a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. He is also a researcher in the Statistical Methods and Big Data Applied to Economics, Tourism, and Other Social Sciences Group at the Complutense University, the Group on Big Data and Artificial Intelligence of the Spanish Society of Nephrology, and the ARES (ARtificial IntElligence for better tranSplant) research group at the Hospital Clinic – IDIBAPS of Barcelona (Spain). He has published over 140 peer-reviewed articles in the fields of decision theory and operations research. His interests include Information Retrieval, Healthcare and Decision Analytics, Efficiency Analysis, and Operations and Supply Chain Management.
