Bishoy E. Sedhom obtained a B.Sc. (ranked first, with honors), M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, EL-Mansoura, Egypt. Currently, he is an assistant professor in the Electrical Engineering Department, Mansoura University, Egypt. In 2019, he received the best Ph.D. thesis award from Mansoura University. His fields of interest include energy management, microgrid operation and control, power system protection, power quality, the Internet of Things, optimization methods, islanding detection, system restoration, high-voltage DC transmission grids, microgrid protection, smart manufacturing, and cybersecurity.
