Killian J McCarthy is an Associate Professor of Strategy at the University of Groningen Faculty of Economics and Business (the Netherlands). He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Groningen. Killian's research focuses, primarily, on the use and effects of corporate tools - such as corporate venture capital investments, strategic alliances, and, especially, mergers and acquisitions - on firm performance. He is also interested, however, in public policy topics like tax competition and anti-money laundering. Killian’s work is published in top journals, such as Research Policy, Long Range Planning, the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Regional Studies, Management and Organization Review, and Energy Policy, among others.
