Prof. Wei Yang earned her Ph.D. degree in 2008 at Jilin University. She served as a Lecturer at the Department of Immunology, College of Basic Medical Sciences, Jilin University from 2008 to 2012. She served as an associate professor and Master's tutor from 2012 to 2018, as well as as the Deputy Director of the Department of Immunology from 2016 to 2018. She has been serving as a professor and doctorate tutor since 2018. She has also served as a director in the same department since 2021. She was a visiting scholar at the Georgia Regent University Cancer Center, USA, from 2015 to 2016. She has received support from the National Natural Science Foundation of China Youth Fund, the Jilin University Bethune Medical Research Support Program (Youth Research Fund), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Science and Technology Project of Jilin Province. She has participated in and led many scientific research projects. She is Vice Chairman of the Jilin Provincial Society of Immunology. She is also a council member of the Jilin Provincial Society of Medical Biology and Immunology and a Editorial Board Member of "Progress in Microbiology and Immunology". She was awarded third prize in the 2016 Jilin University Bethune Medical Department Young Teacher Teaching Level Competition, second prize in the 2013 Jilin Province Natural Science Academic Achievement Award (first), etc.
