Lorenzo Neumann is currently working as an app developer in the research project SteigtUM! at the Institute of Computer Science at the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology, which aims to develop a rental system for cargo bikes in urban environments. During his studies at the Freiberg University of Mining and Technology he showed a special interest in app programming, computational geometry and 3D computer graphics, which also reflect his research interests. He was offered a position as a student assistant already in his second semester, where he could further pursue his interests in app programming. Furthermore, he was awarded a Deutschlandstipendium three times due to his extraordinarily good grades. He developed the basis for the Blainder project as part of his master’s thesis and completed his master’s degree (M.Sc.) in 2020 with the ECTS grade A.
