Dr. Annamaria Mincuzzi received her master’s degree in environmental biology and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from the University of Bari. She is a post-doc research scientist at the Department of Soil, Plant, and Food Sciences (Di.S.S.P.A.) of the above-mentioned Italian University. Her research activity includes the alternative control means (chemical, physical, and biological) of postharvest fungal diseases of fruits, particularly pomegranates. The evaluation of new bioactive polyphenolic compounds extracted by plants, the host-pathogen interactions, and molecular techniques to identify phytopathogenic microorganisms are the chief research topics. She is a member of the "Associazione Italiana per la Protezione delle Piante" (AIPP) and the "International Society for Horticultural Science" (ISHS).
