Biography

Dr. Usman Javed is a multidisciplinary researcher specializing in micro- and nanoscale investigative techniques for optimizing cement and geopolymer chemistry. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering, with his doctoral research titled “A Novel Micro–Nano Investigative Approach for Analyzing Critical Properties of Lithium Slag Geopolymer Composites.” His research expertise encompasses the development of sustainable structural materials, including self-compacting concrete, 3D-printed cementitious composites, autoclaved aerated concrete, and foam concrete. Dr. Javed also investigates the development of lunar-regolith-based geopolymers and ceramics, applying the concept of In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) for potential extraterrestrial habitat construction. To date, Dr. Javed has published over 18 research articles in peer-reviewed, SCI-indexed journals, achieving a Field-Weighted Citation Impact (FWCI) of 2.63—demonstrating that his work is cited 163% more frequently than the global average for similar publications. He regularly serves as a peer reviewer for leading journals, including Scientific Reports, Construction and Building Materials, Case Studies in Construction Materials, and Materials Research Express, and has been recognized as a “Trusted Reviewer” by the Institute of Physics (IOP) Publishing.
