Dr. Elson Santiago Alvarenga

Professor at the Department of Chemistry at the Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), Brazil since 1998. Postgraduate supervisor in the Agrochemistry (UFV) and Chemistry (RQ-MG) programs. Work interests include organic synthesis (photochemistry, Diels–Alder reactions, and others) and theoretical calculations as a tool in elucidating the structure of organic compounds; nuclear magnetic resonance to identify structures of organic compounds and for the quantification of several compounds in complex matrices.
